The Shattered Forest is a large forest located roughly parallel to the Mount Hood National Forest in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is home to an almost entirely separate ecosystem of flora and fauna, and the true extent of the forest is unknown. Its name is thought to be in reference to the fact that parts of the forest will "slip through" into the Mount Hood National Forest, causing scattered pockets of otherworldly flora and fauna.
The forest remains relatively unknown and difficult to explore, as entrances are unpredictable and short in duration. In addition to this, in the few known instances in which someone has intentionally entered for research, they are quickly removed from the forest by Eris, the guardian of the Scattered Forest.
The forest is said to have an "otherworldly feeling", which can make memories feel hazy for those unaccustomed to the feeling.
