Abrasion refers to the process of intentionally causing a deity pain. The process can require an immense amount of effort, and is typically used for arrogation.

Similar to methods used for arrogation, deities must be forcefully grounded for abrasion to be effective. Once a deity has been grounded, any action that would inflict pain upon a mortal is typically effective as a method of abrasion.
